It's been a while since I've written a journal. But do not fear, I'm going to write one to start off my Discussion Special series of sorts.

Do you have a fear of anything? Whether it be one specific thing, an event, or maybe a list of fears? I feel like sharing my own phobias, fears, and things that just plain frighten me. Some may be somewhat silly, but hey, I won't laugh at yours if you don't laugh at mine.

Well, for phobias, I have two major ones. And I'd like to take this moment as a serious and intellectual discussion. Now then, I've addressed on a decent number of occasions that I absolutely, positively hate popping/bursting of any kind in any expansion artwork. Just to express my opinion, I think it's too gruesome, even for me, and I think it gives expansion a bad name. But do you know why I hate it so much? When I was little, I loved balloons. I loved it as much as dogs and trains. But whenever they pop, it frightened me. And then, at one point, a huge balloon that I liked exploded in my face when I was just a wee lad. That gave me a good traumatization, even though that might not be a word. After that, I both hated and feared popping, and it was really hard for me, because I still love balloons. So some people may say they actually like it (which, not to offend anyone, disgusts me, especially if they like the blood and gore kind of explosions), but I don't care. Now don't get me wrong, I do like explosions, but only from things like bombs, grenades, and weaponry.

The second one is one I've been struggling with. Approaching other people. I've always had some kind of social difficulty now and again in some form, and it still goes on today. I don't stress this one as much as my first fear, but it's still in my top two.

Now that I've expressed some of my fears, I'd like to hear others' opinions on mine and express their own. Again, I won't laugh at yours if you don't laugh at mine.
